This log home, perched high on a ridge, is constantly exposed to the elements—sun, wind, rain, and snow—causing the logs to weather, discolor, and develop cracks over time. Our preparation for restoration included sanding the logs smooth, thoroughly washing the surfaces, and carefully masking all windows and sensitive areas to protect them during the restoration process.

Once the logs were fully prepped, cleaned, and sanded smooth, we applied a coat of premium exterior oil stain, carefully back-brushing to ensure deep penetration and even coverage. This process enhances the natural grain and richness of the wood, restores vibrant, uniform color, and provides long-lasting protection against sun, moisture, and harsh weather. By applying the stain to clean, dust-free logs, we achieved a durable, flawless finish that will stand up to the elements and maintain its beauty over time.
